The Book

South of Charleston The Journey examines some of the residual effects, which continue to define how black Americans are looked at and how they try to integrate their views of society, the way they live life in a world, which has rejected them at times because of their skin color.
It takes a look at one man’s journey and how his story is a small part of the bigger picture that is seldom written about or heard of.
The story is about common lives that are not so common to those who live it. The hope is that the story will open the minds of its readers and bring them closer to some of the daily reality of people of color.
